This Bread Machines give to us some advantages, like this :
1. My Very First Breadmaker!!
HH gave this to me for Christmas because he knew I've been wanting one for so long and I've baked 3 loaves so far (lots of ingredients to buy)! It takes about 3 hours to cook a fully developed loaf and almost 1 1/2 hours for rapid. Homemade bread is so delicious! You basically add the ingredients in order (yeast always last), press the settings, the breadman kneads and bakes, press stop, eject, and enjoy!

I barely have to clean the pan because it is nonstick! Love it love it love it!

I would suggest if you want to begin baking right away to look for bread machine recipes online so that you can have your ingredients ready once you purchase.

**Update**
I've had this since Christmas and it has been working fine. I'm still satisfied with it. Do note that my bread comes out better and more developed with Rapid Rise Yeast.

2. Love it to knead but not bake
I've found that the bread baked in it has a thick crust, even on the light setting. That's not a big deal though, I prefer to us it on the kneading cycle, then I remove the bread to bake in the oven, 350 degrees for 15 to 25 minutes (depending on size and shape) and I get a perfect loaf every time. This summer I also plan to test out the jam making cycle. I truely recommend this for others that just can't knead a loaf of bread right on their own.

Suggested use, Cinnamon Bread:
Use the Brioche (Rich white bread recipe) that is in the book on knead only, at the end of the cycle, on a floured surface, roll it out into a rectangle the width of your bread pan. Sprinkle with a cinnamon sugar mixture (ratio is to taste), roll like a jelly roll and place in greased bread pan seam side down. Allow to rise in a warm place for between 1/2 hour to 1 hour until doubled in size. Brush top with milk and sprinkle with a little sugar. Bake at 350 until golden and has a hollow...

Wonderful toy!
I love this bread machine! I make a ton of bread with it. Mixes and different recipes and everything comes out perfectly. My co-workers espically love it. Clean up is the easiest, and it's not huge so storage is not really an issue. It takes you about 5 minutes of your time to make a wonderful fresh loaf of bread! I just love it!

Black & Decker 1 1/2-Pound Bread Machine, White

Cheap Black & Decker 1 1/2-Pound Bread Machine, White
==================================================================

Enjoy fresh baked bread to your preference with the lcd display, audible signal for fruit and nut add ins, crust control, non-stick baking pan and large viewing window.
  • Power failure protection feature
  • 1-hour keep warm
  • 2 loaf sizes: 1-pound and 1 1/2-pound
  • 12 Baking Functions
  • 13-hour delay timer

This Bread Machines give to us some advantages, like this :
1. It does what I want.
I bought it to knead my bread, since my wrists are failing. It does a good job of that, and I'm happy. I will use it to bake when I am not making sandwich bread, but I prefer the normal loaf for that.

2. The bread does not rise
I have tried this machine over and over with my own ingredients and packaged bread mixes. I have followed the directions very carefully and each time the bread only rises about 3/4 of the way up the pan. I called tech services who were useless. I stuck it on a shelf and forgot about it. I tried it again yesterday and it did the same thing. I assume the temperature is off, but now it's too late for a return. It was < $50 so I'm not hysterical, but I would really like a machine that works. Now I'm afraid to try another one.

Update 8/3/2013 After I posted the original review I was contacted by a B&D rep. He was very nice and immediately sent me a replacement. The new one works great and I'm very happy.

Yum! great machine
The bread machine is good and easy to use. The instruction booklet could have been better though, it is a little vague. There are many more recipes that can be found online at least, but it would be nice if the booklet included more recipes and information. We have been enjoying being able to eat warm, fresh made bread whenever we like. Delicious

1. wonderful!
ya know, last year, this machine went kaput...and I really miss it and got to thinking about how long I had this and how much I relied on it. I made rolls, whole grain bread, pizza dough, cinnamon roll dough, and lots and lots of loaves of bread: whole wheat, oatmeal, white, raisin, etc. Always made a great loaf. I would put soup in the crock pot and bread ingredients in the machine and always had a good dinnner on a cool fall or winter evening. The cookbook and instruction manual is very helpful. In fact, I still have it on the bookshelf. soo how long did it last? 15 YEARS!!

2. Panasonic Bread Maker sdy250
I will start by saying that the product works as advertised . But it could stand some improvements . First the selection menu and Instructions need to be cleaned up and made more user friendly . They are confusing . Second the display needs to be backlighted . Its tough to read the time remaining , processing stage, etc unless I use a flashlight .
To end on a positive note , my first loaf was WHOLE WHEAT which is as tough as it gets . It turned out great . With a little tweaking on the yeast amount , the second loaf was perfect .

This Bread Machines give to us some advantages, like this :
1. I love this bread machine!
I bought this bread machine from Amazon because they had a nice sale on it about two weeks ago. It seemed like a good price for what looked like a decent machine, so I ordered it. I'm so glad that I did! I have made six loaves so far, all of which have come out perfectly. I tried two other, hand-me-down machines before this model, both of which burnt or did other crazy things to the loaves and so required tons of monitoring and adjustments. With this machine, though, it really IS as easy as throwing a few ingredients in the machine and pressing a button! So far I have made french bread, whole wheat bread, brown rice flour bread, irish potato brown bread, and more. The recipes that came with the machine work well, but I also picked up a few bread machine cookbooks for more variety.

In addition to making great bread, I love how quiet the machine is (like another reviewer, I kept checking to see whether it was working the first time). I also like that it's a little...

2. Best Breadmaker I've had
This is truly the best breadmaker I have had in years. This is the seventh breadmaker I have bought. I have had Rival, Salton, Williams Sonoma and not to mention a very expensive one. This one tops all of them together. To start off with, it has a small size but makes a huge 2lb loaf. It is so quiet, that I had to keep looking if it was working. I have made 3 Cinnamon Raisin breads and 4 White breads and 1 French bread in the last two days. They all came out perfect. Also the body (exterior) of this one does not get as hot as the other ones so it can be put against a backsplash. This was the best purchase and I would recommend this machine to all who love a perfect loaf of bread.

Perfect bread!
I am still new to bread machines.

I was given an old chefmate thats not even made anymore and loved it. I was confined to only making a basic white bread from it though being I had no manuel and couldnt find one on line to use the other settings.

As I said, the chefmate was old and finally gave up the ghost.

I shoped here on amazon com as I always do to look for a new breadmachine, and also see the reviews of other amazon com users to help. I had it narrowed down to 3 differant machines. THen I found this machine. Breadman TR8752

I bought it directly from amazon which got to me in a lightening speed of 2 days. Perfectly boxed and protected.

This thing is a beauty. I put it through the one time recommended rapid cycle empty to burn off all manufacturing oils and couldnt wait.

When that was done I made the first loaf which was a basic white loaf to start with, from the recipe book included.

All I can say is...

  • 13 hour programmable delay timer
  • 60 minutes "keep warm" function

  • Dishwasher safe, non-stick bread pan& kneading blade

This Bread Machines give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Yummy
Without ever using another bread maker I can only tell you my experience using this machine. The unit is nicely designed and would look good in most kitchens. I have made two loafs of bread so far and they have come out perfect. The first one was a plain white bread loaf. I takes 3 hours for it to complete its cycle (standard for breads using yeast). The bread came out medium crusted (there are 3 setting for the crust..light, medium and dark) with a light but very slightly chewy consistency (in other words perfect by my standards). I thought for the first bread I have made with the machine it was quite good. In fact, the 2 lb. loaf was devoured by the family, kids included.

The second bread loaf included white chocolate chips, about 3/4 cups of M&Ms, a general experimental holiday bread. This bread had a bit thicker but excellent consistency. Kind of melt in your mouth. So the machine handles extra ingredients, like chocolate chips, just fine. This bread was a delicacy and...

2. Great bread machine and great company!
I've been using this bread machine on a weekly basis for almost a year, and it's been working greatly until the inner pan was recently scratched by accident. I couldn't find a replacement on the market so that my boyfriend contacted the company for buying a pan. Their customer service responded shortly and sent us a new pan from their warehouse for free. I'm amazed at how helpful the company is, despite that they are not specialized at making bread machine. Also speaking of the machine itself, I find it just as good as the brand-name ones with a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend!

Delish
This bread maker works perfectly. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. There are convenient settings, you can place the doe in the chamber, come back in a few hours and have perfect bread. The only issue I have is that if you forget to grease the blade it tends to get stuck in the loaf itself. Other than that it is perfect, you don't even have to grease the chamber itself.

  • Easily set your own time for each bread baking stage, from pre-heat to kneading, rising and baking, with 5 personal program settings

This Bread Machines give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Pretty good, minor issues
Ok, I just got this bread machine this morning and I have a lot of positive things to say but first a couple of minor details. The recipe book that comes with it gives the measurements for the flour in weight. Not everyone has a kitchen scale so it would be nice if it had both weight and cup measurement. Second item... it has 15 programs and they aren't listed on the machine. There is an awkward little book thing that's attached to the handle by a chain, NOT very functional. It would make much more sense to have the program settings listed on the front of the machine. Third, the "additions" is not an option you can select or unselect. The machine WILL beep in a very annoying way when you get to that section of the cycle. This is annoying because I only add things to certain breads and not the ones I made on a regular basis. I would like an option to turn it off (it beeps four times, pauses, beeps four time and does this cycle four times). On an up note you will not miss hearing it if...

2. Bread Machine Bake Off
Bought this machine because of the convection feature, and used our current machine (Zojirushi Mini) as well as a borrowed machine (Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme) to make the same loaf of oatmeal bread in all three machines. Four members of my family, and three from neighbor family were the taste testers of the final three loaves. Verdict: the DeLonghi loaf was the most beautiful, cooking up to a warm golden brown all around, with a crunchy (too crunchy?) crust. As expected, both Zojirushi loaves were lighter on top (the reason I've been looking for a different machine) and less pleasing to look at. But, interestingly, all of the taste testers preferred the taste of the Zojirushi Supreme loaf, finding it more subtle, and the crumb more even. The Zoji Mini was the runner up, for similar reasons, but was slightly more yeasty. Nobody liked the taste of the DeLonghi bread, which was almost like a quick bread by comparison. I am the only member of the group with the background information...

Amazing bread - just make sure you WEIGH your flour & use BREAD flour (it's different than all-purpose flour)
I bought the same model from Sur La Table and it cost me $50 more after tax. I knowingly was lazy when making my first loaf and used the included measuring cup to measure the flour (yes, I do know it's for liquids only - Why'd I do it? Because I'm a guy I suppose). The resulting bread was flat, dense, and not very good. Fast forward to the 2nd loaf. This time I measured the same amount of flour in the same included measuring cup. I wanted to weight it out and see just how far off I was on my flour amount. What I measured as 21 oz. with the liquid measuring cup came out on my digital OXO weight scale as only 14 & 1/4 oz. I knew it would be off, but wow - didn't expect it to be 7 ounces off! That's a lot of flour I missed out on and completely explains why the bread was so flat and dense. Now I added in the additional 7 ounces of flour (by weight, on the scale). Added the weighed out flour and the rest of the ingredients to the pan. 3:15 later and I had absolutely perfect fluffy white...
