1. Great Quality
Love this grill! Quality made, looks and cooks beautifully. Only negative is we wish the cord were longer as it is placed on our table to share in the cooking. This shorter cord limits where we can put it.
2. Love that Raclette
We wanted a raclette maker after having raclette with friends in France. Our web search turned up several. We were tempted by the ones with granite tops, but opted for the Swissmar (competitive price, looked good on the web) with the iron grill top. Instead of just boiled potatoes, we had our raclette with roasted veggies (potatoes, tiny squash, tiny eggplant, little onions) and it was spectacular. We actually found raclette cheese at a local gourmet market, and used that and morbier. Wonderful meal, and having tried it ourselves we now want to invite friends and do dinner parties with it. Heats quickly, melts the cheese quickly. Only drawback is the inner plates melt faster than the outers - this is a negative only if you have 8 people. If you have only 4, give each an inner and an outer and they can pace their cheese melting and it turns into as asset! We're happy with our selection of the Swisssmar.

Griddle
We are very satisfied with the griddle. It is large enough for big meals. We never have anything that sticks to it while cooking. It is easy to clean.
