1. Mega Mix Craft
This blender craft/pitcher/container fits the Mega Mix too. the blender is great and the 48oz. craft works great but! after about 1 year the wagon wheel on the bottom of the cutter assembly will strip and sheer off. this is the 3rd craft i've purchased and they all do the same thing. i make smoothies every day with ice, frozen fruit, milk and protein powder. no matter what order you put the ingredients into the craft it blends perfectly but after a while the torque takes it's toll. the cutter assembly in the bottom of the craft cost just as much as the whole container so i just bought two so i have another as a backup.

while i love the blender, the week point is the rubber drive coupler and wagon wheel. in the future i would buy a blender that uses an all metal drive coupling! ! !

if you have one of these blenders try to buy the crafts when someone has them on sale and order a back up because you'll need it eventually if you plan to keep the blender.

2. COMPLETEY DISAPPOINTED!
I own a cafe that sells smoothies and protien shakes and these blenders have to be replaced every 2-3 months. After purchasing a dozen blenders (container only) I decided to write to the company to see if they would repair or replace the containers. Although I had no contact with a real person they did repair which unfortunately leaked and I had to resend and ask for new containers be sent. They did replace the containers and this has gone on for the past few years. Every 2-3 months I attempt to call the Small Appliances Repairs with no luck in ever speaking directly to someone. This past time all 3 of my containers broke with in the same week. I sent the containers back, made 4 phonecalls in which I left messages, and got no response what so ever, and have not gotten any replacement containers. This was 3 months ago,. I since then have had to purchase a new blender. This is supposed to be a commercial grade product. The whole unit costs around $350.00. Do not buy this product

Original container replacement
This container replaces the original that ships with the Waring Pro MegaMix. Although the containers appear to be almost indestructible, they do eventually leak around the blade assembly and have to be replaced once you get tired of cleaning up after each use. It may last years before leaking. To preserve the seal and keep the container leak-free for as long as possible, follow the manufacturer's directions and clean the container right away after each use - don't leave liquid in it for long, and never store liquid in the container in the refrigerator or freezer.

1. READ THIS BEFORE USING YOUR PRESS!
This is the most affordable press I could find online (a very similar one costs over $2K and is apparently heavily marketed to cancer patients). It works like a car jack, you pump a lever that raises a platform fitted with a juice catcher until it presses against a fixed plate. One reviewer gave it a 1 star (worst) review, and the first time I tried the press, I wholeheartedly agreed! BUT... I found a solution. If you buy one, read this BEFORE YOU EVER USE YOUR PRESS!
The big problem is that there is no easy way to get the platform back down after you've jacked it up and pressed out the juice. Instructions say, go ahead, don't hesitate to use force to push it down. Great. Thanks. There is absolutely nothing to grab hold of! Only fingernails fit in the narrow space between the juice catcher and the top plate, the juice catcher is plastic (so you do hesitate to apply force), and the pressed cloth with the residue are in the way of anything else you might want to try to wedge in...

2. Excellent alternative to the Norwalk
The Welles' Peoples Press, if used in conjunction with a juicer/grinder (i.e. a Champion juicer), is a great alternative to the Norwalk juicer. Norwalk juicers cost $2500 new, and this press with a Champion costs under $700. The juice is perfect - pulp free, great color, no oxidation, with all the nutrients and enzymes in tact. Using a press provides the highest amount of juice extraction possible, and it leaves the pulp bone dry and with a slight loss of pigmentation.

If you want the best juice possible, or are on the Gerson therapy, and cannot afford the high price of a Norwalk, this is the next best thing.

The only downside to this is that a reasonable amount of strength is required to press the juice. If you have a disease or condition that prevents you from any form of physical excursion, the Peoples Press may not be a good fit for you.

Clean up simple, quick, and easy. I love this press and use it everyday.

This is a godsend for people who cant afford a Norwalk Press. Just buy a champion, (used, for about a hundred bucks on craigslist)put in the blank screen and triturate your veggies like phase one of the Norwalk, and then run it through this. I have both systems, Norwalk and now, this, and this compares favorable. It is a little more time consuming as the Champion does not have quite the power and tube size of the norwalk, but hey, you are saving about 2000 bucks. The quality and taste are identical to that of Norwalk pressed juice, so there you have it.

Presto SS Wok
Would have given this item a 5 star but I hate the lid. It is very heavy compared to the Wok. The wok is larger than I expected so stir frying for one or two persons it is wasted space. I do like the legs it stands nice and hi so there is little heat transferring to the counter top and it is easy to wash.

Recently purchased this machine. Was going to purchase the maximax machine but there's a hefty shipping fee associated with it. Ordered next-day for this machine through Prime (cost only 3.50) and it arrived the next day on time. I couldn't believe it actually took 1 day! The shipping container was in pristine shape also. Installation was very easy. Took maybe 20 minutes. I've seen another review where they said that the kettle looks more like a 6oz rather than a 8oz. I don't know about that, but I used a 8oz all-in-one popcorn kit and it popped all the popcorn with ease. Very few old maids. Extremely satisfied with purchase. Looks great in my media room.

Makes good popcorn and it is fairly easy to assemble. Wrench for assembly is provided as well as a scoop and salt shaker. This was not noted in the item description on Amazon so I ended up buying these items as well. As a result have an extra scoop and shaker but this is not a big deal. This machine is pretty heavy as well when it is on the stand. Kettle is removeable as well as the upper box which is on a spring retention system for easier cleaning.

After 5 years of considering the purchase of a Vita-mix I finally took the plunge after seeing it at a Costco "roadshow". I am not a big smoothie person, but I was motivated by my constant efforts to get more greens into my kids. Green smoothies sounded like a great way to do this painlessly. Also, I was enraptured by the demo of the tortilla soup, one of my favorites. I justified the price (yikes!) with the thought that this was going to be great for our ongoing efforts to get more veggies into our daily lives.

If smoothies are the only thing that you are thinking about making... or other concoctions that are thin and slide easily on their own out of the blender jar, then go for this product. If you are going to be making anything that requires you to coax it out, then think again. I have wanted a Vitamix blender for a few years now. However, I just couldn't see myself parting with the more than $500 to get one. Inexpensive it is not, but as much as I hate the price--which is why I gave this four stars and not five--- I have to admit that this blender works extremely well. The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread
My first experience with the VitaMix was at the Culinary Institute of America as a student. Every kitchen was equipped with a VitaPrep, the professional version of the Vitamix. I personally saw students commit acts against nature on a daily basis. That bad boy stood up to everything we threw at it on a daily basis for year after year.

I went for years wishing that I had one in my home kitchen. When I finally decided to spring for one, I choose the VitaMix 5200. I called VitaMix and spoke with one of the customer service representatives. She told me the only difference between the VitaMix and the VitaPrep was the warranty. The VitaMix (home use) was 7 years and the VitaPrep (commercial use) was 3 years. It makes sense given the type of use that the device will see in a professional kitchen.

I love this product. We use it all the time as I buy meat in bulk quantities and then vacuum/seal and freeze. We also butcher our own wild game and use it for this purpose.

The sealing does take some practice. I noted that another user commented on this in their review. I find that if I shake the contents to the bottom of the bag and pinch the top of the bag with one hand and pinch the bottom of the bag with the other hand that I can keep the bag from collapsing around the nozzle. This allows me to get all of the air out of the bag and makes for a tight seal. I have taught my kids how to do this so it can be done with a little practice.

I have several friends who have bought them after I bought mine and they love them too. We bought some as gifts and people weren't overly thrilled when they first got them because they didn't think they would use. Then they started using it and got totally hooked. You can save so much money.

2. Works fine for food and non-food.
I have this sealer and I love it. It certainly can be used for packaging steaks. Most Mylar bags are food safe. The clear bags you might use with this are probably no better than the channel bags with most vacuum sealers but they're much cheaper. But Mylar bags, which you can vacuum and seal with this, are cheaper than channel bags and keep oxygen and moisture out of sealed items 500 to 1000+ times longer.

This is a nozzle vacuum. The nozzle inserts into the bag for vacuuming, in between the top and bottom sealing pads. After the vacuum is pulled, the nozzle retracts and the heat seals the bag. The nozzle is what makes this work with bags you can't use with other sealers. Channel bags have those ridges you've seen. The ridges allow the vacuum to get sucked out even when the sealing pads are clamped on the opening. The ridges (or channels) maintain enough airway for pulling the air out. Channel bags are way more expensive to make.

Skeptical at first but very happy with product!
This is a great product for me. I bought it because i'm working on a long term food storage project, and this sealer was recommended by a company that i get mylar bags from. Prior to finding this sealer, i tried and failed with my food saver, and all the commercial sealers that would work on mylar were way out of my budget. So i took a risk and bought this machine and i am very happy with it so far! It takes some getting used to at first, but once i got the hang of how to operate it, it worked great. I haven't tried the regular plastic sealer bags yet, but it works great on mylar, which is specifically what i bought it for! Good luck, and happy prepping!

1. Great choice for a bread baker
I've owned a Kitchenaid mixer for 20+ years. I make bread at least once per week. I'd wanted to try this mixer for a long time, but since my Kitchenaid refuses to die, I'd felt guilty spending the money on the Viking. I had an opportunity to try the Viking in a cooking course, and after seeing how powerful this mixer is, decided to take the plunge.

Pros:

1. The power - the Kitchenaid just cannot compare. The Viking can knead large amounts of the toughest doughs in very short time. In fact, breads that I was accustomed to needing 1/2 hour or more mixing and kneading in the KA took a third of that time in the Viking.

2. The attachments - they are big, and they are heavy. The KA attachments seem very flimsy in comparison. The whip also has more "tines", so that meringues seem to take a much shorter amount of time.

1. Use Crown Top Bottles With the WaterGuard System!!!
This is my second Oasis water cooler and my first with the WaterGuard System. What you need to understand is that only the crown top water bottles work with this system. The screw top will not. Since my first Oasis (which lasted about 5 years) did not have the WaterGuard the screw on top bottles were just fine. You had to be careful when inverting the bottles onto the cooler to avoid spillage but after doing it for a reasonable period of time, I got rather proficient.

The WaterGuard System is really a nice touch as the crown top uses a snap-on cap that has an seal that pops open when you invert the bottle onto the stem of the WaterGuard System. When you remove the bottle it's cap seal prevents any residual water from spilling out on to the floor.

Oasis never tells you what kind of bottle to purchase even when you call the technical support telephone number they simply say most any 3, 4 or 5 gallon water bottle will work. Not so, you must have the crown top...

I have been juicing a lot since receiving this juicer 3 weeks ago. I juiced apple, carrots, ginger, watermelon and even wheatgrass and beets. It was great!! This is my 2nd juicer. I originally had a Breville Juicer which is a good juicer too. Honestly, this new low-speed masticating type juicer works a lot better than the centrifugal type. Highly recommend it!

The juicer works well, but have problems with the plastic
I have used this juicer every day for about the last two weeks since I received it. There are many good qualities to this juicer and just a few problems. I'll start with the positive aspects of this juicer.

First, this juicer is quiet. I can run it while people are sleeping upstairs and it does not disturb anyone. This is a major selling point as I am a night owl and am often up later than everyone else in the household.

The juicer makes wonderful juice with a dry pulp. I don't feel like it misses any juice. The pulp comes out easily and does not become clogged while operating the juicer. It does seem like a waste when I notice how much pulp comes out versus how much juice, but I understand that is the nature of juicing and it can't be helped.

Greatest ever!
I did a ton of research before buying this machine. We had originally wanted a high end juicer, but everything I had read convinced me that the Vitamix was the way to go. The package that I got included the dry mix container. I love the fact that I can grind my own flour! We use it daily. I've made soup, smoothies and tons more stuff. It's so worth the money! This rotisserie is perfect for a 4.5 to 5.5 lb whole chicken horizontally. It cooks fast, it has a normal rotation, a no heat rotation and a hold to sear setting. Delicious Rotisserie Chicken Every time! I roast chicken at least once a week, and the family never tires of it. It's cooked in the Compact Rotisserie by Ronco and comes out deliciously with crispy golden skin. I usually cook a small 3.5 - 4.5 lb. chicken. In 1 1/2 - 2 hours it is finished to perfection. For easier clean-up, soak the cooking tines and drip pan in soapy water right after you take the chicken out of the Rotisserie. Also, wipe down the inside of the rotisserie oven right away. 1. Cuisinart upgraded the Griddler, and it's better than ever
I bought a G4 Griddler from Amazon in 2005, and used it a couple of times a week (at least) until it had to be put out to pasture in 2010 due to failure of the non-stick coating on the plates. (The coating started to bubble and peel, and no one wants that in their food...) I loved it. (See my review of the Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler Stainless-Steel 4-in-1 Grill/Griddle and Panini Press) It was still working great, but replacement plates were not available.

I was elated when offered the opportunity to review its smarter younger brother, the GR-4NAM Griddler. I could hardly wait for it to get here and run it through its paces.

At first glance, the GR-4NAM looks virtually identical to the G4. However, closer inspection reveals that it has been totally redesigned, and for the better.

Improvement: The grease catcher used to be a little cup that had to be set under a spout on the side of the bottom plate. If it was positioned incorrectly, (or forgotten...

2. best indoor grill so far
I have tried the Villaware Uni panini grill, the Delonghi open countertop grill and another panini type grill (approx $90), and returned them all (ouch, those return shipping charges hurt). I never considered the Geroge Foreman grills because they always felt cheaply made to me, not to mention many unfavorable reviews).

None of the grills/panini presses that I tried got hot enough to work well for me. They just did not grill as much as steam,bake cook the food, and they all took a longer time to do so than I was willing to wait.

I never was bothered by cleanup, though. I always just wipe the hot plates with wet paper towel, let it then cool a bit, and wash with wet sponge. Works on them all.

So I just gave up and bought some stovetop grill pans and have used them for the past year or so. They do get as hot as you want but you do have to turn the food to cook both sides.

Being a kitchen appliance junkie, I decided to try the Cuisinart...

Great idea, poor implementation
We have had this product for over 1 year. This product has a few of great features:

1. The interchangeable nonstick plates that are dishwasher safe.
2. The unit opens up to a large griddle.
3. The cooking plates are dishwasher safe.

However, the nonstick surface has started peeling off of the plates even though the plates have never been abused, and we have never used metal utensils on them.

Our biggest complaint is the thermostat. The unit will reach the desired temperature, and then turn off. The cooking plates will actually cool off so much that the food will stop cooking. The thermostat will then kick back on and take about 3-5 minutes to get back up to temperature. It is very annoying, and doesn't always produce good results with food.

There also is a large temperature difference between the two plates when the unit is opened as a large griddle. This causes items being cooked to finish at different times...

This coffee pot works great for me. It brews a good, hot cup of coffee. It brews faster than my old one did. I absolutly LOVE the color. The only downside is that the lettering on it under the buttons is very hard to see. I need a light right on it to see the words, but theres only 4 buttons so you just have to remember which ones say what. I would definately buy it again.

2. Great Coffee, Overpriced Looks
It makes a great cup of coffee, though it is a very, very simple coffee maker. The carafe stains easily so rinsing and a quick wipe to remove the coffee residue is necessary each time it is used. The unit is quite tall so we lift it out to set it up then move it back under the cabinets once it's set up to brew. The reservoir design makes it easy to see how much water you have filled through the narrow-ish opening. There is only one setting for the carafe temperature; personally I'd like it to be a little warmer, though it's a minor complaint. The coffee tastes great and it's hot. We had to replace the filter basket as the spring assembly for the stop-brew popped free within 2 months of using it. This model was more expensive than similar models, the difference being the red color.
If I had it to do over again I'd re-purchase the Cuisinart which I had previously. Didn't look as nice, cost as much and had more features - plus it made great coffee.

Before deciding to buy the Griddler Jr. I called Cuisinart (and got someone on the line within a few minutes) to ask about the wattage rating of this product, which I could not find listed on Cuisinart's site or in the manual for this product (which is available in PDF format at their site). It's 1200 watts. The GR-4, which I guess is Griddler "Senior," is rated at 1500 watts. The tiny Hamilton Beach indoor grill (with NON-removable grills) that I used before getting the Griddler Jr. is rated at 750 watts.

According to an article titled "Grill Power" in the February, 2006 issue of Prevention Magazine, Steven Raichlen, host of Barbecue University on PBS, says, "The lower the wattage [of indoor electric grills], the less likely your meat will taste like it came from an outdoor barbecue. 2. Perfect (single sandwich) size, and just about fool-proof
I'd been looking at panini grills for years, but had never found the perfect model. Many of the grills I looked at in stores seemed very cheap and poorly built. One clear exception was the Cuisinart grill, which was very well constructed, but it was very expensive and also very large. When I saw this new Cuisinart Junior, I decided to take the plunge. It has become the hit of our kitchen. Making fancy grilled sandwiches has become a highlight of our weekends. My teenage kids love the sandwiches off the grill, and they don't seem to notice that they're eating healthier than before. The quality of panini sandwiches off this little grill is far superior to the paninis we get at our local restaurants.

Here are the features that make this grill a winner for me:

- The grill plates really are nonstick. I've never had to do more than wipe them clean, even when drippings seem to have burned on. The plates remove super easily, and also snap back in very easily...

Good Looking & You'll Grill Like a Gourmet
The grill has a modern brushed stainless steel finish that will fit in well with any kitchen. It is compact, light in weight, but heats up quickly to the appropriate temperature. Veggies, fish, chicken and steak cook evenly and quickly. It toasts panini's well even with the thickest bread and a multitude of fillings. The plates snap out easily so you can pop them into your sink or dishwasher and the plastic cleaning tool is well designed to let you get into the grooves and remove any grease. The only draw back is if you are grilling a large steak some of the grease may miss the drip cup and drip down the front of the unit, but I guess that's why sponges were invented. All in all a fine product that is useful in any kitchen.

We love this machine,we are addicted to it.. but it did BREAK after 2 weeks and we returned it. Nespresso sent us a replacement machine without even asking us to send back the other one. The new machine arrived in about a week. Now all seems fine.

Several months later, the new machine is working fine. The detached frother we bought with this machine is still working, although we had to learn the hard way that you should rinse it out between usages to avoid overheating. All in all, we are quite happy with the machine's ease of use, the coffee taste, and the overall durability

UPDATE 9 months in: NESPRESSO machine working fabulously, and we are ever so happy. However, the frother we bought separate stopped frothing and now merely warms the milk. Arrivaderci cappuccinos! We will contact customer service and see how that goes. We did learn from customer service not to run the frother back to back without running cool water on it in between though (will stop it...

2. I love this machine !!
So long as you use the Nespresso capsules (which are by far the cheapest if you order them from the Nespresso website) this machine works great. The different parts click together with magnets making it easy to take apart and then get back together again. The milk frother is fast and cleans easily as well. Just be sure to follow the fill lines or you will have spill-overs! The frother has a hot setting and a cold setting. My grandchildren love their morning milk frothed. It also makes great hot chocolate.

1. Only one complaint!!!!
This is a really good fryer with just one exception: you have to manually lift the basket out of the oil and hold it to put items for frying in the basket. Would be so much safer if there was a lever of some sort that when you open the lid, the basket would raise out of the oil automatically. Our last t-fal fryer lifted the basket out of the oil automatically when lifting the handle - a very nice feature. They should have carried that feature over to this fryer as well.

2. Second Purchase of this Tfal Fryer.
Have used my first Tfal fryer for years now and still in good working order but decided after such a long time we needed another.The new purchase is almost identical to the first model purchased and hopefully, it will continue to serve us as long as the other. I recommend it highly and have no complaints at all. No oily foods when using this fryer and we use it frequently. Another great point, delivery on second day after purchasing, didn't expect such quick delivery and always happy with everything from Amazon.

If only the lid didn't pop open spontaneously
This is a great product. Compact, with a large enough basket to cook fries for everyone. The bottom screen keeps the old clean for a longer period. My only complaint is that the lid pops open spontaneously; not all the time, but enough so that I have to be aware. My wife is paranoid about these things, so this doesn't help. Having the magnetic head on the electrical plug does. Overall, a very good value.

If you have not tried one of these muti-purpose portable cookers (if you have you know the speed and ease of cooking any meal is unbelieveable) look no further than this fine unit. Right out of the box you see the quality and thought that went into this product. This is a replacement for my first (different brand panini grill). Differences are unbeliveable; unlike my previous grill this unit grills to perfection, the grease from cooking goes thru the open bottom grill plates, into a removeable tray. All grids are removeable, which is a huge difference (my old unit did not have removeable grids had to clean by hand). It cooks meat, chicken, panini etc perfectly and nearly grease free.P.S.Don't throw out the direction booklet! It has over 20 Wolfgang Puck recipes in it, to use with this grill!Can't say enough.

2. Not perfect - but it's alright
I was searching for a replacement for my old unit from a different manufacturer that I had loved but is no longer made, and had several requirements:

1. Removable plates
2. An interior drip pan
3. A "floating" top that would allow for even cooking when food is thicker on one end.
4. An adjustable temperature (more than just high/low).
5. A decent sized cooking area.

It is somewhat surprising to me how difficult finding all these on the same unit can be, and this tri-grill does deliver and performs well on each of these items, so for that I'd give it five stars. The reason for me only rating it three is below:

After reading the other reviews here, I was a little nervous about ordering because of the possibility of poor quality. You can imagine my thoughts when I opened the box and out falls a screw! Good concept, poor execution
We searched until we found what looked like the prefect multi-function panini grill. It's a great concept and obviously someone thought of all the possibilities for cooking that it could do. And the storage for the extra plates is brilliant. However, when we took it out of the box, some screws and bolts fell out. Then we noticed that the anchors holding the heating element were loose and dangling. We couldn't put them in because the back, where the bolts went, was inaccessible. A little black rubber part fell out also, and we figured out that it was one of the rubber feet on the bottom, but the other one was missing.

We thought the metal which it was made of was rather thin and flimsy, and it was apparently carelessly assembled. Also, a lot of the parts rattled, making it sound not very sturdy. We are returning it without trying it and getting a refund. But after reading the 5-star review about how well it cooks, we are considering trying another one, just to see...

I like this grill unit alot -- it does a great job. I have a 60" American range (6 burners + raised flat griddle/broiler) and this adds the one element my range doesn't have. My only problem is that my 6' exhaust hood does not suck up the smoke as fast as some meats generate it, so my kitchen fills with more smoke than I expected after about 15-20 minutes. My variable speed exhaust fan is supposed to pull about 2400 cfm up a 10' shaft, so I would have thought that would be sufficient. I may need to climb on the roof and make sure it hasn't been dialed down inadvertently to a lower exhaust rate

My challenge has nothing to do with the product. It is 100% top quality and handles the task nicely. Not quite as good as a real charbroiler or my wood-fired grill, but good enough.

I purchased this Braun Multiquick 7 to replace an older model that was not cordless but had several attachments, including a whisk. After learning that many Braun products will not work in the U.S., I ordered one of the few that stated it would. I was surprised to discover that the appliance was intended for the European market but included a U.S. converter plug. In addition, I was disappointed that this model is not compatible with any whisk attachments offered by Braun.

When fully charged, the product works fine. The strength is good, and it's easy to handle. You can use it as an immersion blender or a chopper. But if you're looking for an all-in-one handheld processor, this is not the one for you.

Since I am moving around a lot between continents using different voltage, I did not want to get a hand processor every time I move. This one would work on 110 or 240volts making it very convenient. I have had this machine since 1998, i drink on average 4 espresso a day, that is a total of around 17,500 espressos and it still works like a charm. I have serviced it myself about 3 years ago with new gaskets you can buy them for about 40 bucks. If you are looking for a solid machine that will last, this is it, pays for itself time and time again.

2. This machine is perfection.
We've only had this machine for a week now, but I'm already in love. It makes the best espresso I have ever tasted... We are coffee snobs (roast our own beans even!) and this machine is perfection. It's quiet (so nice not to hear the thunk thunk of a pump!), easy to use, etc. We thought there was going to be more of a learning curve, but after pulling a few shots, we've got it down. The foam extension isn't the best, but we're getting some pretty good foam now a week later. This machine is perfect too for people who have limited counterspace. It looks SO sexy on the counter, is easier to clean than our pump machine, and takes up so little space.

An excellent machine, if you are willing to work with it.
Our machine has been providing us with excellent espresso (and lattes that are far better than those we have gotten at Starbucks) for six years. As others have noted, there is a bit of a learning curve. For example, too fine a grind, especially if it is tamped too tightly, will make it nearly impossible to draw a shot. Too coarse a grind will lead to watery shots that are useless. And I would guess that just about every Pavoni user has at one point pulled the coffee filter too quickly from the machine, resulting in spattered coffee grounds on walls and counters. While getting good foam with the wand takes some practice, I have had good luck with the foamer attachment, which works quite well and requires no skill. Further, the machine does require some maintenance. The wand seal started to fail after about three years; this has to be replaced or you will steadily lose steam pressure for foaming. My initial review:
My wife and I have been using this machine for several months now, and we have become familiar with the good, the bad, and the ugly, as these terms relate to this worthwhile but flawed innovation by Cuisinart.

The good: the coffee made by the machine is wonderful, IF you have the common sense to adjust the amount of beans you use in accordance with how strong you like your coffee. The people who complain that the coffee is "weak" need to put on their proverbial thinking caps and simply ADD MORE BEANS! Yup, once you get the right ratio of beans to water the coffee is plenty strong, and since it's freshly ground, the flavor is terrific. The automatic brewing features are reasonably easy to set and use, and these make it possible to wake up in the morning to freshly brewed coffee, a terrific start to any day. Complaints about how hard it is to clean the machine are also kind of silly; have we gotten so spoiled as a culture...

2. Pricey, but good coffeemaker
Frankly, I'm a little surprised at the wide range of reviews here for this coffeemaker.

Yes, the coffeemaker does have to be cleaned after every brewing. No, it doesn't make bad coffee. No, you can't just dump coffee beans or ground coffee into the coffeemaker and make good coffee automatically.

The Coffee Bar, as Cuisinart likes to call it, does have several internal parts which must all be in place before you can brew coffee. You can use ground coffee, but you're defeating the purpose of the Coffee Bar by doing so. The grinder compartment can hold enough beans to make 10 strong 6-oz cups of coffee which is what "10-cup" usually means with appliances. I like my coffee very strong and I've been able to load more than enough beans into the coffeemaker to get the strength of coffee I want.

Between the grinder and the attached drain basket is an attached screen through which the ground beans goes through and an inserted gold basket filter which must be in place in...

Hard to clean and makes watery coffee
I bought a Cuisinart Grind N' Brew (DGB-300BK) for my wife for Xmas. We are thoroughly disapponted with it. It has two basic design flaws. First, it is a pain to clean. There are four parts that get caked with wet coffee grounds every-time you use the machine. They need to be cleaned after every usage. Much worse, they must be cleaned and thoroughly dried before you can make a second pot. Therefore you can't simply brew a second pot without first doing the dishes. Secondly, it makes...[bad] coffee. There is a small knob inside that you can turn to adjust the brew strength. It goes from watery to ridiculously watery. Maybe our particular unit is flawed. For Cuisinart's sake I hope so. I even wrote to the company complaining about this thing and so far have recieved no serious reply from them only a form letter. I've gone back to my old coffee maker and a "hand" electric mill. I recently purchased the Oster 4096-009 because my old blender couldn't handle making the frozen fruit smoothies I really enjoy. I chose this product because the brand and style has been around since my mother was young. I was a little turned off by the idea of the glass beaker so I ordered the stainless replacement and put away the glass one. I also ordered the blend-n-go cup because of the smoothie thing. The blender is awesome. It looks great on my countertop and works better than any I have ever owned. Don't be put off by the concept that this blender only has two speeds - that's all you need. Be honest - how many times have you used anything more than pulse or full bore on your blender? I thought about it and realized that was all I ever used. This is one heavy duty unit, capable of reducting ice to snow and frozen fruit and alcohol into some incredible frozen drinks. A must have for anyone who's into shakes, smoothies or other blended products.

My new $37 "beehive" sits next to my soon-to-be-repaired $100+ KitchenAid, and it works great. I make smoothies every morning for breakfast and this baby kicks it. My son is brutal: ignores all procedural instructions, fills it with p.b., bananas, ice, and yogurt and then turns it on! It pauses a second then gets right to work. I'm like, "you have to put the ice in while it's running," and he's, "No you don't." We rarely take it apart to clean it, just rinse right away, sometimes a little suds, eh voila, it's done. I can tell you though the blades they are sharp!
Regarding other reviews, it is loud, but hey, it's a blender! And do not need any other speeds, just the one and pulse. Can't say about frozen drinks/ice slushees, however does fine with ice for smoothies. Great deal!

Still good, but more cheaply made every year.
Bought this Oster to replace my 2 year old Oster(same model)that broke - the drive pin that spins the blade broke off. We make fruit smoothies every morning and this model seems to be the only sub-$100 blender that can handle the job (we tried many others).I supposed we could have fixed the old one, however, we must grudging accept that new appliances don't last long and that replacement parts are as expensive as buying a new one and a hassle to find.

Problem is that Sunbeam continually finds ways to cheap out on the construction.
This new unit is substantially lighter and contains alot more plastic than the 3 year old model. The chrome housing is thinner. And because of all this I think its alot louder.

This Oster still has the power to do the job so that is good, however I wonder if it will last even the 2 years the previous one did, given the cheap construction.

This Electric Kettles give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Attractive and boils relatively quickly, but one problem for us.
We loved the look of this kettle and liked the easy-to-read water gauge. Its power is 1500 Watts, which is higher than many comparable kettles.This is a big advantage, as it means that it comes to the boil more quickly. (It's well worth checking the power of kettles before buying them. Some are painfully slow!)

For us, though, there was, unfortunately, one problem. We use our kettle for all sorts of purposes, but mainly for making traditional British tea and we found that after a day or so, the tea tasted odd. My adult son was the first to point it out. I didn't want to believe it, as I loved the kettle. But in the end I was unable to deny it any longer. The tea definitely didn't taste right, even to me.

Loud but effective
The Sanyo Electric Kettle is loud once it gets going but it does the job well. To be fair, it is obviously not the kettle itself, but the water that makes the noise. The steel design seems to make the boiling experience quite a bit louder than other non-steel models I have seen. I have it on my desk at work, and we have joked that it sounds like a jet engine getting ready to take off.

That being said, I am very happy with it, and compared to some other models, it does have nice visual appeal (sort of the trade for loudness).

1. My Very First Breadmaker!!
HH gave this to me for Christmas because he knew I've been wanting one for so long and I've baked 3 loaves so far (lots of ingredients to buy)! It takes about 3 hours to cook a fully developed loaf and almost 1 1/2 hours for rapid. Homemade bread is so delicious! You basically add the ingredients in order (yeast always last), press the settings, the breadman kneads and bakes, press stop, eject, and enjoy!

I barely have to clean the pan because it is nonstick! Love it love it love it!

I would suggest if you want to begin baking right away to look for bread machine recipes online so that you can have your ingredients ready once you purchase.

**Update**
I've had this since Christmas and it has been working fine. I'm still satisfied with it. Do note that my bread comes out better and more developed with Rapid Rise Yeast.

2. Love it to knead but not bake
I've found that the bread baked in it has a thick crust, even on the light setting. That's not a big deal though, I prefer to us it on the kneading cycle, then I remove the bread to bake in the oven, 350 degrees for 15 to 25 minutes (depending on size and shape) and I get a perfect loaf every time. This summer I also plan to test out the jam making cycle. I truely recommend this for others that just can't knead a loaf of bread right on their own.

Use the Brioche (Rich white bread recipe) that is in the book on knead only, at the end of the cycle, on a floured surface, roll it out into a rectangle the width of your bread pan. Sprinkle with a cinnamon sugar mixture (ratio is to taste), roll like a jelly roll and place in greased bread pan seam side down. Allow to rise in a warm place for between 1/2 hour to 1 hour until doubled in size. Brush top with milk and sprinkle with a little sugar. Bake at 350 until golden and has a hollow...

Wonderful toy!
I love this bread machine! I make a ton of bread with it. Mixes and different recipes and everything comes out perfectly. My co-workers espically love it. Clean up is the easiest, and it's not huge so storage is not really an issue. It takes you about 5 minutes of your time to make a wonderful fresh loaf of bread! I just love it!

This give to us some advantages, like this :
1. I may never drink plain old brewed coffee again.
I love good coffee. And when my friend offered me a latte from her Nespresso machine, I was so impressed I had to buy one. I have had the machine for a month now and find it easy and convenient to use. Every drink I have made has been a delicious delight and i would rather have a latte made here at home than one made at the coffee bar around the corner. (I hope that my Nespresso machine doesn't put them out of business!) The Aerocchino milk frother is quick and painless and does a great job. The whole package looks great on the countertop.

There are a few drawbacks. The first one being the expense of the machine compared to some other "pod" type coffee/espresso machines. But I have tasted coffee from some of those other machines and was not impressed.

The second drawback is having to order the capsules rather than being able to find them locally. I was told by one retailer that used to sell Nespresso capsules that the company decided to sell them online because...
