This rice cooker is fantastic. Most importantly it is not made in china. It is made in JAPAN :)

It keeps the rice warm for days and does a great job of cooking it as well. I can make just about anything I need in it from, meals to beans. It is also easy to clean :)

HIGHLY recommend.

2. 5 star rice -- WOW
This rice cooker makes beautiful white and brown rice: light, fluffy, moist. Brown rice outside is slightly crunchy -- yum.

The timer is easy to use. Set it to when you want your rice DONE. Brown rice and white rice differ by 10-15 min in cooking time and temp, but the timer knows this and calculates accordingly.

It's also relatively energy efficient: 964 watts cooking, 34 watts warming. Other cheaper poorly insulated cooker/warmers use 80+ watts to warm. Other super-expensive induction cookers use 1400 watts -- ouch!

Tip -- Be sure to clean the cooker well after each use. I'd use a clean damp paper towel. The hinges are pretty well designed so that rice mush doesn't accumulate there. After use, I'd leave the lid open overnight to dry out the inside -- with the rice cooker container drying outside.

I bought this rice cooker at Amazon(shipped by M.V Trading Online.It was scheduled for delivery on 8/16/12, but I received it on 8/21/12.I have cooked the different rice: brown rice, plain rice.It's easy to choose the different options on LCD. But, cook-time takes longer than my old model, such as: 1hr for 8 cups of plain rice, and 1hr and 15min for 3 cups of brown rice.If you want softer rice, you need a little bit more water.Generally, It's OK to me to get this cooker, but I can rate it for 4 stars.TIGER JAHT18U 10 Cup 3-in-1 Rice Cooker
