I enjoyed the soymilk and tofu making kit because it is easy to prepare my milk. It saved me lots of time and I could do my almond milk with no problem!

2. Love the Soyabella!
Since purchasing the Soyabella, I've made over 100 batches of soymilk. The process is quick and easy, clean-up is easy, and the milk can be flavored with cocoa, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and stevia for a natural sweetener without the extra sugar. The filter needs to be kept clean. I use the brush and soak it in cold water, as recommended in the instructions, then soak it weekly in dishwasher detergent, as recommended by another reviewer. Organic non GMO beans are purchased for a reasonable price at my local Asian markets (I watch for their sales ads). I usually pour the flavored soymilk into a coffee press to remove excess pulp that normally falls to the bottom of the glass. I have not tried any other soymilk maker, so I am not able to compare with other products, but I like that I don't have to clean an exposed heating element, so I think I made the right choice for me.

DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO
I received this about a month and a half ago. It does what it is supposed to do. You can either make cool soy milk but adding water and grinding the beans several times, or hot milk by pushing the other button. It heats the water fairly quickly, grinds the beans three or four times then after about 10 minutes will beep when it is done. I have also used this to make tofu. Follow the directions carefully and I think you will be satisfied with this unit. I have also made Almond milk but don't like the taste as much. Maybe I need to add more organic sugar or vanilla. I will keep trying different things and see what happens.

i have only used this a few time but so far it works great. be sure to coat it as the instructions say and do not use spray vegetable . it is so thin it will burn and be very hard to get off. just use liquid vegetable oil. otherwise very easy to clean. heats very quickly and is a pleasure to use. amazon has by far the best price. it was packaged well and came very quickly. im very satisfied.

2. Already enjoyed Grilled cheese on it!
It's smaller than I was expecting and heavier too, but it does the job and the trick. My BF loves it too and I enjoy the option to use the grill side for fish as this is a hassle on our actual grill.

I love the one piece jug. It's dishwasher safe so just throw the jug in the dishwasher upside down and it's clean. No gaskets and rings to assemble or loose.

Blades seem strong and are large enough that it grinds ice for smoothies without needing to open and redistribute the content. It seems to cope well with small loads (12-16oz) and has enough power to do the job.

The suction cup feed and weight keep it situated and the controls are straight forward. You either set the speed on the dial then use start / stop buttons. Or hold the pulse button. The motor starts slowly and ramps up to speed which seems to help it get it's teeth into whatever you have in the jug.

The on off switch is round the back which might offend some and can cause it to switch off if pushed up against the wall.

It's a nice cheerful red plastic that seems robust although I am sure the looks are not for everyone.

2. Nice Item - Great Green Smoothies
I purchased this item after reading a number of reviews on blogs I follow. My husband and I wanted to make great green smoothies, knew we needed a good blender to get the kale and lettuces liquid form. While our family and friends are all owners of a name brand costing $500, we decided to hold off and research first. So happy we did, and SO happy we took a gamble.

Even through we are happy, there are a few complaints:

1) Although the description says "black" ours came in red. Not the biggest of issues, but I would check before ordering.
2) Entire thing is plastic. I jut assumed it was glass, but I was wrong. This make it quite light (although base has suction cups to help keep in place).
3) Pre-blending is required for greens. I tried cutting down the greens and putting directly in blender, but it didn't work. Then I put them in the food processor first, chopped the small (minced) and transferred into bender. Hello smoothie!

Seems like a great product and value. However, they made the shelves too close together. It does hold the smallest bottles of wine, but many "Standard" bottles (Dancing Bull, Rancho Zabbaco, etc) don't fit unless they are jammed in and then you can't get them back out without unloading the whole thing. Don't waste your time and get a model that is more versatile. As if insult to injury, the thermostat didn't work either but that was probably a fluke.

2. Don't buy
I bought this wine cooler after reading some good reviews. It was a complete waste of time and money, the wine cooler worked for about 4 hours and then this uncontrolled beeping noise would continueoulsy play. I unplugged the unit and tried resetting it but the noise was still there when I plugged it back in. I called the company and all they said was it might be the control board. How does a wine cooler die after 4 hours.

Great size, great price, great product!
My boyfriend bought this wine refrigerator for me as a birthday gift on a total whim. It was a fantastic, unexpected present and has so far worked perfectly for me. I've never owned a wine cooler previous to this one, but I do live in a smaller apartment, so it's compact size is exactly what I needed. As another review stated, the shelves are kind of close together preventing the BIGGER wine bottles from fitting side-by-side, however - all standard wine bottles will fit. I tend to buy the larger bottles of Barefoot Moscato, in which case I simply remove one shelf for the time being. Personally, I'm not at the point where I've collected dozens of wines and will RARELY have more than 12 bottles at one time to fill this fridge anyway. All in all, it's a fantastic product that chills wines perfectly and fits just about anywhere. :)

I had read numerous reviews about this griddle and everyone raved about the quality and eveness of heat distribution and cooking. I waited three months for it and have never been so disappointed in a product. The handles felt thin and sharp on the edges. The feet were likewise sharp on the edges and did not sit totally level on the counter. I followed the instructions, washed it, seasoned it with some canola oil and then proceeded to cook breakfast for our guests. It held 8 pancakes at a time. The two near the control never got brown, the four in the center were almost black and the two at the far end came out beautiful. I tried it repeatedly that morning with the same disapppointing results each time. Maybe I got a lemon, but it certainly did not live up to it's glowing reports and did not do half as well as the cheaper model from a competitor that I have been using.

2. Very Dissapointed - especially with Broil King Customer Service
Our children purchased this product for us, on our recommendation, on the strength of some nice reviews on Epinions and a few other websites. Our overall experience with this product was unfortunately not positive. After just over 1 year of usage the product is no longer usable, and an email sent to the published customer service address at BroilKing went unanswered.

Pros: Large. American Made. Even heating. Can tip slightly for grease run off.

Cons: Expensive, especially for an appliance which lasted only 1 year in infrequent service. Poor application of non-stick coating, the coating was peeling off in several areas the day we got it. These areas were on the side, not on the area where one would cook, so we didn't return it. Hard to clean, due to there being areas where food would collect that were hard to get at, specifically between the handles and the cooking surface. No channel to direct grease to run-off pan, so the griddle would tend to overflow...

Very Pleased With Purchase / Small Quality Control Issues?
Like the one reviewer of this product. The first griddle I received had very uneven legs and would not sit level. I tried to tighten the screws that secured the legs to griddle to correct the problem, but to no avail. I returned the first one, and received a replacement soon after. The second griddle I received sat level, and was as steady as a rock. It heats quickly and evenly. I am very pleased with this purchase. I don't know why they recommend seasoning the griddle with cooking oil? I did this with the first unit I received, and the oil just got sticky/tacky and was hard to clean off. With the second unit, I decided not to season it. So far I've only cooked pancakes on it, but just with warm soapy water I'm easily able to clean off the nonstick surface to like new condition. I really like the grey cooking surface, something different then the usual black. Aside from the small quality control issue with the first griddle. The griddle seems to be relatively well built...

I have been saving for a personal 5L beer keg dispenser after seeing all my 'cool-friends' with the Heineken Beer-tender, but the reviews on their life-span turned out to be true (they quit if you keep a close to empty in the unit for more than a day or two) and I wanted something that operated differently.

I love this machine for the most part, and am working on making adjustments to the parts that are a miss for me. I love that it holds 2 x 5 Liter kegs and the accessories that come with the machine will allow you to use virtually ANY 5L keg style out there: Co2 pre-charged kegs like Heineken and Newcastle as well and any un-charged keg. The fact that this is an actual fridge protects the item from conking out because of a no-load melt-down like the other dispensers I have experience with.

2. Great concept, iffy quality
I bought this on a whim. I had been thinking about putting my homebrew in kegs but didn't want to deal with the expense and complication of a kegging system and a kegerator. As I looked at this I saw that it could substitute for the mechanics of that system as long as I could get my homebrew into mini-kegs. The good news is that it can be done, the bad news is that mini-kegs seem to be in high demand and low production so there will be a wait for the empty kegs to get started. In the mean time I have substituted a pre-made mini keg. I chose one that is not of the pre-charged variety (Heinekin, New Castle) as my own will not be pre charged.

The good: The setup was easy and installing the first mini-keg was as easy as tapping and putting in the fridge. There is space to keep some glasses on the shelf, although not much, to have a chilled vessel to contain your brew. The unit looks sharp and will give you some bragging rights when your buddies are over for football...

Picked up mine last year post x-mas. Still love it!!! Do have some difficulty in NJ finding gravity kegs though. I keep two kegs in it at all times...usually a Heiniken or New Castle and then another that is run off of the coolers co2 system. I have found the 9oz co2 canisters work the best. The 16 grams tubes tend to leak unless u apply a little pipe tape. I was surprised that the 16g are not threaded, it would work much better.

Was originally drawn to the unit for its 2 keg size and because the cooling system is actually run off of a compressor and not a thermal cooling plate. Had one of them a few years ago and it burned out pretty quickly as most of them seem to do.

All in all it seem to work like a charm...highly recommended!!

1. Not what I thought
I had bought the Dr. Weil Stainless Steel rice cooker thinking it was all stainless steel including the cooking pot. I specifically did not want a teflon or non-stick cooking pot and that is exactly what this product has. I am really surpised that Dr. Weil would sell a product with a non-stick surface as this surface is known as a carcinogin and he is known as a health minded professional. I have returned this rice cooker and bought the Miracle stainless steel rice cooker with stainless steel cooking pot.

2. Not Teflon
The basket that hold the rice is a fairly heavy aluminum, that has been hard anodized. While the coating looks like teflon... and due to how it makes rice, rice does not stick, it is dark grey aluminum oxide (think ruby or Sapphire). While the container is still aluminum, the coating is many times harder than any stainless would be.

Not sure why, other than the color, lots of people think this has a teflon rice container.

As far as cooking goes, have not used a better rice cooker, nor one easier to clean up afterwards. Nice product.

Admittedly, I had high hopes for this product. It appeared to possess every feature I was looking for. The description basically sounded like the answer to the 'want ad' I would have written. After receiving this product as a gift, I looked forward to giving it a try. Wasting no time, I opted to start with a carrot-apple juice. I was pleased with the power and efficiency. Everything seemed to meet my expectations and I was content. When I began the clean-up process (it's a messy business juicing your own veggies and fruits) everything changed. The removable pieces clean up nicely. However, the internal screen basket that collects the pulp and allows the juice to pass through, as well as the containing housing are *extremely* difficult to clean. I elected to unscrew the basket and blade assembly to wash them. Even after thoroughly but gently scrubbing them, the basket held onto several carrot scraps. I would not recommend this product for anyone who intends to use it...

2. Juicer
Purchased the juicer went online and looked up recipes and began to juice. No leaks not hard to clean up and its still going strong. Cleaning tip there will be bits and pieces of veggies in the extractor use a small brush and bush against the cutter teeth while running it under water easy peasy. everything else just wash off. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to clean it as some other reviews might suggest.....

I've had this EWare Ew-8k129 700-watt Black Juicer Extractor for a little over a month and in that time during normal use the lid has cracked and the motor has etched unsightly grooves into the bottom of the juice collector!

I read the instructions thoroughly before using and leaves and leaf stalks were approved for use. However, this juicer has issues with kale, a very popular food for juicing. Whenever I use kale the machine goes haywire (shuddering out of control, smoking, purging pieces of kale out of the machine all over the counter) even when the kale is chopped up into smaller sections. The damage above was caused when I used kale. The instructions warn against using hard or fibrous fruits /veggies like sugar cane, but kale is not hard like sugar cane. In fact, it's softer than carrots and ginger!

Great immersion blender
Haven't used it much, but impressed with its design, power, quietness, and quality. Replaced a Hamilton-Beach that I used for years that sells for about $20 now. Honestly, the Bamix gets the same results, although admittedly it does a little better job. Supposedly Bamix is one of the best and they're priced accordingly. This model's their entry machine, but it'll do everything and more than I'll ever need it to do. The special blades are a nice addition; have only used the chopper blade so far. And the beaker is really a nice addition; didn't realize just how handy that is for emulsifying. Based on price, does it work 7 1/2 times better than the Hamilton-Beech? No. But the Bamix is better, I like it a lot more, and I'd buy it again.

I got one of these for Christmas and have not had any problems with it. I make about 12 cups of popcorn a week (4 batches) and really enjoy the fact that I can add whatever flavors I'm in the mood for (butter, spicy, etc). The only minor issue is, the catch tray is a little small. After I finish popping, there are kernels scattered around the inside of the unit, outside the tray. It makes emptying the unit a little messy, if you don't take your time. Other than that (and that really is a minor inconvenience), I really like the unit.

Family loves it
We purchased this because we wanted to try and recreate the movie flavored popcorn at home. We went with a small one for the price and size to see how often we would actually use it. So far we love it. It takes a bit to get the right amount of ingredients down to what you prefer for a taste, but once you have it down you are good to go. We are a family of four who loves their popcorn when we are watching movies on the couch. It takes a couple of batches to get enough for all of us, but once it is heated up, it pops fairly quickly. Kernals will pop out of the kettle like other reviewers have said and you really can only have one batch of popped popcorn in it at a time, or it is overflowing. Clean up is not too bad and so far the family loves it. If we continue to use it frequently might have to see about getting a larger sized one.

we've had an S9 Jura for over 7 years and made over 6,000 coffees with it. It was a trooper and fantastic but sadly died on us so we wanted a replacement. I checked the specs for the S9 and C9 and seemed they were pretty much the same so for the price difference it felt living with a black and slimmer model with slightly less horsepower was a sensible trade-off.

The good;

1. Quiet
2. Small
3. Makes a nice cup of coffee (if administered well)
4. Button layout and customization is way easier than the old S9

The Bad

1. Black is not as attractive as the silver and also shows marks easier
2. Water filters are different sizes to the S9 (had a stock so that's a little annoying)
3. All the essentials feel twice as small as the S9 and a pain.. the milk container cannot even support two Lattes, the water container is too small and the coffee store is also.
4. The One-Touch button makes for a warm and hot coffee so is also...

2. Convenience + Quality
I purchased this recently after I returned my unreliable Saeco V'spresso model. This machine has been much more reliable and makes excellent quality espresso/cappuccino with the push of a button. My favorite feature is the frothing system that allows it possible to make a cappuccino without moving the cup. It is much quicker than the traditional steam wand for lazy people like myself. Jura-Capresso seems to have much better customer service and warranties than its competitors as an added bonus.

Gorgeous machine
This is my second fully automatic espresso maker. The first one was a Jura Espresso E8. They seem to have a life span of about 5 years with very frequent use -- probably 10-15 single cups a day.

The Jura-Capresso espresso maker only needs you to feed it with water and espresso beans and empty out the grounds drawer every once in a while. It does every single other thing. At the touch of a button, it grinds the beans to the perfect texture, tamps it to perfection, and brews espresso exactly. Finding espresso beans is always interesting. Right now, my favorite are from a small roaster called Ancora in Wisconsin. This espresso maker prefers beans that are not too dark and oily and never likes flavored beans. French Roasts are good, as are Columbian, for a rich flavor. Lavazza beans are good for everyday use. My only complaint? The espresso is just a little too perfect.

I am a hunter who butchers 8-10 deer per year and make my own burger & sausage. I have previously used "hand crank" grinders and smallish electric grinders. While both will do the job for a deer or two, due to the volume I am processing it was time for an "upgrade".

When I made the decision to buy my own grinder, I did a lot of research to determine which model would best suit my needs at an affordable price. Based on the features, motor power, quality and price I decided to try the Waring MG800. If this didn't work, my next step would be a used commercial grinder.

Let me tell you, I am impressed ! This grinder is everything advertised and more. The construction is rugged and the components are well designed. My first night I ground and vaccuum packed 20 lbs of sausage in 1/2 hour (only 5-10 minutes were actually spent grinding). The grinder never clogged and you can literally feed the hopper with your hand, the screw is so well designed that it actually...

2. Not professional grade, but above grade, 4 stars
The motor is strong, but "professional grade" is really pushing it. Works EXCELLENT for hamburger, rarely need the plunger. However at first I had poor results with suasage, it turned out with the consistency of liverwurst. After a few tries I learned to avoid forcing the motor to stuff the sausage. Let the meat flow out and squeeze the casings by hand to stuff them.
Results are getting much better. Manufacturer should provide tips and advice. Suasage casings are difficult to find locally, but you can buy buy them online.
Negative aspects are that the accessories have immediate rusting issues, however has not effected performance over 3 months. The hopper does not extend far enough from the machine, the meat lands on the inside edge of the receiving bowl. This results in a spill over if you do not turn the bowl.
However the motor is strong and is reversable, if you get a clog. And the main unit and hopper are made of quality stainless steel and metal.

I purchased this grinder about a year ago during the "mad cow" scare...It's nice to be able to control what is in your ground meats and sausages.

When I want to make a batch of hamburger, I buy 15-20 pounds of beef, trim off the fat, gristle, and sinew before grinding. I add an appropriate amount of fat evenly to the meat chunks as I grind them. It's actually fun and goes so fast. I wrap and freeze the freshly ground beef in one pound packages. I also make my own bulk sausage, using the recipes included with the grinder. Delicious! As with the hamburger, when I am ready to make sausage, I buy 15 to 20 pounds of meat--pork, turkey, and/or chicken--and just follow the recipe. This fresh sausage is also wrapped and frozen in one pound packages.

The hopper handles a large amount of meat, and all I have to do is keep piling on the large chunks, guiding them into the feed tube. I have not had to use the "pusher" because the grinding screw easily pulls the meat...

The Sous Vide Supreme Demi is absolutely amazing. It has done a brilliant job on the meats and vegetables I've cooked in this unit. It has easily been the best purchase I made for my kitchen ever (along with the FoodSaver vacuum sealer of course). I usually hate cooking, but I'm having so much fun cooking with this unit, because the food comes out amazing. I think its harder to screw up the cooking with the Sous Vide Supreme than it is to do it right.

I've experimented with all kinds of tough cuts of beef (because the manufacturer says it can do it) and boy does it ever. I took some tough beef shoulder steaks that were cut bigger than I wanted as a steak, I tried to cut them down raw into smaller steaks but they weren't budging with my knives, I cooked them for about 16 hours overnight in the Sous Vide Supreme Demi overnight at the 134 degrees and when I took out the huge steak to sear it, the steak literally fell into three smaller steaks while trying to flip it. Excellent little device
These were available for a limited time at costco and I'm very happy I jumped when I saw one (costco's return policy = no risk early adoption). I've only had it a week, but have cooked a few things in it. Chicken breasts @ 140f for 2 hours was delish, carrots with a little butter magnificent, scrambled eggs were custardy in a way I thought impossible. The critical thing it does well that a lot of hack sous vide options can miss on is the constant temperature. Various levels of water have fluctuated no more than 1 F for this first week of use. I'm looking forward to doing to some longer cooks with beef this weekend.

If you're the type of person that thinks "ok tonight I'm shooting for a michelin star dinner at home" this is a nice weapon to have in your arsenal. Is it necessary? I've been into juicing for years. Every day I drink a glass, or two, of fresh juice, and have several juicing recipe books. I have always used my old indestructable Juiceman Jr. but wanted something new, easier to clean, and smaller that I could leave on the counter.

This is small enough when turned sideways to leave on the counter and it doesn't take up as much space as my old juicer. It also is more efficient, producing more juice, and more and drier pulp. What I love is the extra large feed spout, which means less slicing up fruit and vegitables before putting them into this.

You can spend a lot more than this on juicers, over twice as much, but the end result is the same. This gets plenty of juice out, and it's easy to clean, which is an important consideration, as some juicers can be difficult.
The pulp catcher snaps out easily, and rinses out cleanly. While this is dishwasher safe, I find I don't even need to put it in the dishwasher usually,...

2. Semi-pro Juicer that is out-designed by Breville
Overall, this juicer will meet semi-pro juicing needs. It is an investment in time, as any juicer of this caliber. Cleanup takes exponentially longer than the actual juicing process. You have 6-7 parts to remove and wash.

One recommendation to save time on clean-up is to use a plastic bag around chute where the discarded vegetable mush goes (instead of using the plastic receptacle) that you can toss instead of wash.

Let's talk counter space. We have none, so our juicer lives on a high shelf that makes it a bear to get down to use. For regular use, you definitely want countertop with easy access to the sink. If you plan to use this at least 3 times a week, it deserves a spot on the counter - see dimensions comparison below.

I'm New to Juicing
I am an inexperienced juicer so I do not have anything to compare this juicer to function or price-wise. I can tell you that my daughter and I just made the best orange juice we have ever tasted and I'm looking forward to our next attempt with apples.

This juicer is relatively easy to set up but takes up a good bit of space on the counter. I have limited counter space so this could pose a storage problem for anyone who has a small kitchen or limited storage space. There are a good many parts to clean after juicing. I have an apartment sized dishwasher and these parts take up the entire top rack. I prefer to just clean everything the old fashioned way.

The pros: It grinds meat well. The cons: the food plunger is not fat enough and stuff leaks out around it. Also the drive shaft isn't anchored to the housing very well and when you push down on the meat you can hear the shaft binding. A prop (an old coffee mug) under the spout to support it fixed the issue well, but it is an issue nonetheless.

Well worth it for the money but I don't expect it to last for more than occasional use.

1. Pretty good while it worked
This was my first foray into semi-automatic espresso machines, so even though I don't have a lot of experience, I was extremely careful in the treatment of the Brera. I cleaned it weekly, and descaled it on a regular basis. Unfortunately two things happened. About a month ago, every third or fourth espresso started coming out extremely watery. It seems that the beans were not being properly syphoned into the grinder properly. It appears that the machine makes the espresso regardless of whether there are enough beans in the hopper. When they did go in, it would make great crema. Last week, however, it developed an electrical issue. The machine would not prime and after playing with it for a few days, it refused to turn on all together. Ugh. I will attempt to get it repaired, but I am not hopeful. So for 900 dollars I got about 4 months of great espresso and a nice countertop decoration.

2. best espresso, but minor problems
I bought the silver version about a year ago to replace an aging Capresso C1000. Unlike the burnt taste and warm espresso with the c1000, this unit produces excellent espresso in both taste and temperature. For your reference, I mostly use Giggia Intenso whole beans.

However, there are some minor problems not related to the espresso produced.

1. After about 4 months of use (latte in the morning), the top silver plating of the frothing handle started to peel off. It turns out that this peeling piece is made of plastic that covers the internal metal frothing tube. However, the paint peels off this plastic since it can't withstand the heat of the steaming hot metal. The part was replaced under warranty, but they charged me $6.95 for shipping. While this piece doesn't affect the functionality of the unit, it sure cheapens the look of the unit.. all for a lousy piece of plastic.

2. The water container is too small. Water has to be refilled after few...

Since Whole Latte Love won't print my review (please note others have assigned the machine 1 to 2 stars, yet only glowing reviews are published) I will back up the problems others have reported here. I always research big dollar purchases on Amazon and trust the reviewing community, and others should be forewarned about the Gaggia Brera. I bought it to replace my workhorse Saeco Superautomatica that trucked along for 8 years with typical repairs and part replacements. I make only one 2-shot latte a few times a week out of this machine, so I'm not asking a lot. 2. It Works Well, But Smelly and Smokey
It works pretty well, but there is lots of stinky smell during the first several uses. There is also lots of smoke even just cooking a simple pizza while there is no oil or any substance being burned. On the other hand, it cooks pizza very well and it fits the Papa Murphy family-size pizza perfectly.

1. Something's missing
While the machine works great and does and admirable job sealing it has one big flaw. It states having a connection for using a hose to use sealing jars and similar. However I have been looking for one since buying. I wrote to Deni and they answered that it is not available. I have tried the Foodsavers and Rival but neither one fits. Any suggestions?? Great product, easy to use and instructions easy to read. Do not buy the deni bags. They are a cheap made product and will not seal. I purchased a three roll box and they are just expensive saran wrap. use a heavier ply bag and the sealer works like a charm.

I was doing so much research on rice cookers prior to buying this. I really wanted a great quality machine & was going to shell out big bucks for a zojirushi w/fuzzy logic. 2. Sanyo rice cooker
When in the market for a rice cooker I took that chance on the Sanyo because I have a Sanyo bread machine that works everytime, so easily. The rice cooker is no different. I have made rice, of course, but also split pea soup, steamed eggs in the steamer basket and cooked rice along with brocolli in the steamer basket. It is simple to use, easy to clean and just a fantastic peice of equipment. I keep it sitting on my counter at all times, it has so many uses. Is is solid and well-made and also very cute. You will love yours!

Enjoying my Sanyo Rice Cooker
I have had this rice cooker for a year, and I have no complaints. I don't make rice any other way!

Reliability: It is holding up well so far and cooks my rice perfectly each time. The quality is great.

Functions: The rice making is great, and the cooker makes smaller amounts of soups/stews (which I usually just make on the stove anyway in large quantities). It makes all rice I try, both brown and white, perfectly every time. I have only steamed vegetables in the steamer, but those came out fine. It is a small steam basket, so don't expect to fit a whole lot, but it will do the job for vegetables on the side or small dumplings. Finally, the warming function is wonderful and keeps my food well when I make it way ahead of time.

Convenience: I make a lot of rice (a couple times a week), so this was a worthwhile investment for me. I stick the rice in, walk away, and I come back some time later when it is done and keeping the rice warm- this suits me well...

1. Very Disappointing is some ways.
I was really excited to receive this product. I normally love everything kitchen aid, however this model falls short. I recently got rid of a $40 Walmart Better Homes and Gardens food processor which I have to say worked better than this in many ways. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't slice well at all and the food is constantly getting jammed just under the lid. I find it only slices half of what I send down the chute. Food also falls down the finger holes in the slicing and shredding blades. My other processor did much better at slicing and shredding than this and had a more efficient set up for attachment storage. On the plus side this unit is much lighter and attractive, it also has a quiet motor with two speeds that I like but in all I wouldn't pay that much for a unit that barely chops and constantly gets jammed with food above the slicing blade.

2. Great gift!
I gave this to my son for Christmas. He really likes it. This was what he wanted and it was so much less on Amazon than anywhere else. He was happy to see it had a mini container for smaller jobs. He said it really does the job and likes using it. He's a guy, so that's about it for his comments. I usually do most of my shopping on Amazon because I save so much money and no lines or driving, most time no taxes and free shipping. Makes my life so much easier...thanks Amazon!

I am very happy with this HP3A blender . I am not a vegetable eater but this blender allow me to have my daily intake of greens. I make carrot juice, cucumber juice, apple juice, strawberry ice cream and a lot more. Important thing to remember is to read instruction and put the ingredients in recommended order. The blender and the new jar which is BPA free now has a 3 year warranty. I have no problem with liquids spilling out while using this product. Cleanup is a breeze.

This product is pricey but it is worth it in my opinion.

2. Finally, a blender I won't have to replace in a year!
This machine is amazing. I'm convinced it will turn anything into a smooth liquid or paste. Just read the manual first for the best results. I love having a blender that I don't have to baby. I just put on the proper program setting and it speeds up and slows down to ensure the food is properly blended.

If I'm making a thick frozen fruit smoothie, sometimes I'll have to shake the container and blend again, but when that happens, it's my error since I'm making the smoothie too thick. I've never had to scrape down the sides making a smoothie, like every other cheap blender I've owned.

The container shape makes for very easy pouring, and even easier cleaning. I love that I can see under the blade to make sure the container is clean. I usually just rinse the container once or twice and run the lid under some water. Sometimes I'll blend a cup of water with a drop of dishsoap for a few seconds to clean it. It's so low-maintenance.

Can anyone say for sure if this juicer is the one used by WholeFoods? It has the commercial power and size to run all day. Saw one and it is very well made and heavy. Seller said it is one of the best if not the best out there. Juice tasted amazing. I have a Blentec which is a very good blender but I am wanting to drink juice without pulp. It goes into the bloodstream quicker. I get a mild speed rush and sense of 'well being' with this type (centrifugal) of juice.

My "5 star" review is related to the build quality, supreme taste, & amount of quickly-made juice. It also looks easy to break down and clean. There is no rating system for those who want to just inquire about a product, as I have not purchased the Nutrifaster N450 and cannot attest to it's longevity. But it looks like it will outlast me.

1. Finally - A Very Good Toaster Oven.
We are a husband - wife household and rely on toaster oven for: daily toast, weekly frozen pizza cooking, reheating of grilled items, crisping up french baguettes, pastries, etc.

This appliance does an awesome job. Controls are intuitive, temperature control is quite accurate (checked with oven thermometer beyond 400 degrees) and convection feature adds to amazing uniformity. It gets to temperature very quickly as well. The criticism others have stated about the front handle-to-glass spacing, leading to burns may be relevant to their use, but is a NON ISSUE if you simply use your fingers to open (which is very easy) versus wrapping your entire hand around the handle. Build quality and the overall user experience is definitely superior.

We've had our Cuisinart for only a couple of months so far, so a bit more to learn about its durability.

We love this toaster/convection oven and use it for everything from toast (of course) and bagels, to pizza, to chicken and cookies! It is so versatile and i love that it remembers your toast setting. The convection really heats things up fast. The oven comes up to temperature much faster than our regular oven so we use it for everything. The broiler even works well!

Update Nov 2010: We have been using this product on a regular basis since we purchased it during the summer of 2009. We still love it. It toasts well, we cook things like frozen pizza, breads (like croissants in a tube from the grocery store), chicken pot pies (home made), cookies etc. We've also roasted chicken parts (legs, thighs) and used it for frozen french fries and breaded chicken. I really don't have anything to complain about and the convection cooks things even faster than a normal bake function.

Some people might be annoyed that when using the timer you have to keep hitting the minute...

Heats quickly, cuts down on cooking time
We recently replaced our 1993 Black & Decker toaster oven (which was great, by the way) with the Cuisinart convection/toaster oven so that we could toast bread as well as take advantage of the convection oven features. The oven is a little noisier than I'm used to, but that's due to the convection fan. It's really not that bad. Toasting takes a little longer than with the other toaster oven, but seems to toast as evenly as a regular toaster oven.

So far, I've used it to make toast, a cake (from scratch), ladyfinger cookies, a casserole and two roasted 4.5 pound chickens in the oven. I used a square brownie pan for the cake and casserole.

The oven can fit about 8 cookies per sheet, depending on the size of the cookies, so you end up with more batches, but it takes less time to bake them in convection mode. The chickens took around 1 hour 15 minutes each. The Cuisinart herbed chicken recipe worked well, and the chicken did not blacken on top. My hoisin chicken...

1. Great - Consistent coffee drinks from a beautiful machine
I stressed about buying a "pod" machine for some time. I didn't like the feeling of being held to corporate pods and I resisted the "idiot-proof" nature of a machine like this, but I accepted the fact that I am not interested in coffee enough to master hard core barista techniques so I took the plunge with this machine.

It was a great decision. This machine is beautiful, functional, easy to use and makes fantastic espresso, cappuccino and latte drinks consistently and I highly recommend it. If you dont have access to a Nespresso Boutique for your pod purchases you can get very fast delivery from their online store with reasonable shipping (but I think it should be free).

I also debated a long time between this machine and the one with the attached milk frothing device. I decided to buy that separately because I didnt want the machine to take up too much counter space and the separate frother can be stored in the cupboard.

2. Broke down, bought one, seriously impressed. Why the (CENSORED) didn't I get this beauty before?
After traveling the course of Delonghi and Capresso manual and semi-automatic machines, I finally broke down. Spending 20 minutes to prepare a shot of espresso, including preparation and clean-up, and then having to drink it luke warm after the motions, was, to put it mildly, just not fun anymore.

Once you get off the high horse of "Oh, that cannot be espresso, only an X machine can make espresso, you need to suffer to make espresso", and you actually try Nespresso coffee, you are in for a treat. It's not bad. NOT BAD AT ALL.

I'm a hardcore coffee guy. My favorite espresso will always be the one that a professional makes for me, or one that I make for somebody else. I cannot enjoy something I make for myself. So my choice was either one of those $1,000+ super automatic machines, with all its glorious, unending, thankless maintenance chores, or one of those "capsule" monsters. Well, HELLO FRANKENSTEIN. Yes, yes, you are ALIVE!

Problem after just two years. Don't Buy!
Had problem with my Nespresso Citiz after just two years of light use. Clear water coming out as capsule did not puncture. This seems to be a common problem. Just got off the phone with Nespresso 'CS Manager'. THEY REFUSED TO FIX MACHINE. Wanted to charge $125, then lowered to $99. Obviously they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. This machine is only 2 years old and was well cared for. Offered to sell me a new one! Told them I am moving to the Starbucks machine, as Nespresso obviously doesn't stand behind their products. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will never buy, again!
