Tayama Turbo Oven

Cheap Tayama Turbo Oven
==================================================================

Tayama TO-2000 Turbo Oven. Rating: 120V~60Hz 1300W. This multi-purpose convection oven can be used to bake, grill, roast or steam - all in less time! The convection cooker preserves nutrients and keeps meats tender. By circulating fan-forced heated air over surfaces, the electric convection oven evenly maintains temperature. The counter top convection oven has a high-temp safety glass body.
  • Tempered Glass Bowl made in France
  • Cooking time is 3 to 5 times faster than traditional ovens; Cooks complete, healthy meals in minutes
  • Cooking without fats or oil, reduces cholesterol intake
  • Easy operation with timer and temperature control
  • Includes: Low rack, Dual rack, Tongs, Oven stand

This give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Grill or bake quickly and without heating up the kitchen
We are a huge fan of this turbo oven. The product works by sending hot air from a fan on top around a glass bowl, cooking food on a rack. The hot air circulating is like a convection oven and cooks food quickly (moving hot air cooks faster as the insulating layer of cooling air around the food is constantly being removed and fresh, hot air is replaced.) The racks (a single low rack or a dual upper rack on a stand that works with the lower rack) drain the fat off food into the glass bowl beneath.

We cook chicken thighs in this, and the layer of fat that accummulates is astonishing. If you were baking or grilling the same pieces, that fat would still be in the food or sitting under it. When we use the Turbo Oven, the chicken pieces have very crispy skin and the meat is less fatty. Steak and chops work very well. You can also bake in this device. As long as you can store it, this might be a good device for RV dwellers (glass needs to be packed well for travel, of course) and...

2. So Far So Good
We just got this appliance to replace a "turbo" that we had for more than 20 years. We have used it a couple of times and it seems to work just fine. The cooking is quite even. The bowl is large enough with convenient handles. The heating unit itself I find to be well-designed with its handle also doubling as a safety shut off. I cannot vouch for the product's reliability and durability since we've only had it for a short time but at the price, I would certainly recommend this particular brand. It seems to be a safe, inexpensive bet. And for those who have not tried this sort of appliance, I would definitely recommend cooking this way. It's relatively fast, convenient, and drains grease away from the food. We even have good friends who swear that brats cooked this way are the best they've ever tasted.

Turbo Oven
We bought this little guy because our more costly Nu-Wave gave up the ghost, We knew we would replace the NuWave at the end of summer and we purchased this at the beginning of summer because of its relatively small footprint. It now resides in our motor home. Forget all that stuff about cooking steaks in it and break out the BBQ! But for chicken, this unit is great, as well as for reheating pizza and heating small loaves of Italian Bread. I prefer the more versatile NuWave, but this little guy got the job done and we have had no problem with it at all.
