This Rice Cookers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Not what I thought
I had bought the Dr. Weil Stainless Steel rice cooker thinking it was all stainless steel including the cooking pot. I specifically did not want a teflon or non-stick cooking pot and that is exactly what this product has. I am really surpised that Dr. Weil would sell a product with a non-stick surface as this surface is known as a carcinogin and he is known as a health minded professional. I have returned this rice cooker and bought the Miracle stainless steel rice cooker with stainless steel cooking pot.

2. Not Teflon
The basket that hold the rice is a fairly heavy aluminum, that has been hard anodized. While the coating looks like teflon... and due to how it makes rice, rice does not stick, it is dark grey aluminum oxide (think ruby or Sapphire). While the container is still aluminum, the coating is many times harder than any stainless would be.

Not sure why, other than the color, lots of people think this has a teflon rice container.

As far as cooking goes, have not used a better rice cooker, nor one easier to clean up afterwards. Nice product.

Need more appointment... ?
Easily boiled over & very messy
It works well initially, but then it starts boiling over and leave a huge mess, regardless of how little water we put in. It's hard to clean as well.
