1. Top drawer blender.
I've had two other Waring blenders over the past five years, and with our daily smoothy routine they tend to break. This model is a lot more heavy-duty, and expensive, but so far we think it's worth the money. It's a LOT better looking than the other, less-expensive models and has a much more solid feel. It's a plus, not a detraction, on the countertop.

2. Worst Amazaon Purchase to date
We have only had this blender for two months and the blender blade broke. We used it once a day to make our morning smoothie. I bought this over the other blenders because of the good service I had with a Waring blender in the past. Obviously, not the same quality. The real pisser is if I had bought this at Costco or Sam's I could just return it and get something else. With Amazon you don't have that luxury. You either find a Waring repair shop, which there are two in my are one downtown Fort Worth and one in the warehouse district in Dallas, both only open M-F, 8-5. Imagine that, when most of us also have to be at work. Waring is definitely not what it used to be. Expensive lesson. I don't know that I'll purchase an item like this off Amazon again.

Though my troubles aren't over yet - I called 3rd party; who is Webstaurant Store and have been back and forth with telephone calls not getting anywhere for the past 5 days. So far, I've been told I will need to take it to one of "their" service locations (which are at least 30 miles away from my home). I don't feel I need to take it for repair -- I just want to ship it back and let the company do the
