This Food Processors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Didn't Last a Year
I received this food processor for Christmas last year. It didn't even last a year as it developed a six inch crack which leaked liquids all over the countertop. I didn't abuse it in any way to cause this. Before that I loved it for food processing, but have to agree with the other reviewer that it pureed the onions into mush. Yes, I thought it was something I was doing wrong also, but I chopped onions by hand afterward. Hamilton Beach does not offer a replacement bowl. This product is less expensive than it's competitors, but do you want to buy a new one every year?

2. smelly food puree-er
I have had this for 3 months. I was excited to receive it, always wanting one but never getting around to it. It's first task was to chop onions...lots of them. It pureed them (not chop) instantly and smelled hot while doing it. I chalked that up to it being new and me inexperienced. So the next time I chopped the onions into smaller bits first and that worked better, but not great. It shreds cheese pretty well but there ends up being pureed cheese gunk in the lid (a lot of it). Still better than doing it by hand so even though I curse this thing every time I use it, I keep trying. Today I used it to chop up dried bread for bread crumbs. It's motor was inconsistent and I thought it was going to die and as usual, it smelled hot. I expect that since I've been using it fairly regularly for the last 3 months that it should not smell hot every time I use it. I plan to send it back.
