==================================================================

Known as a pristine coffeemaker, Chemex employs all of the chemically correct methods for brewing. Its hourglass shaped flask is made entirely of glass, a chemically inert material that does not absorb odors or chemical residues. The Chemex has no moving parts and will work forever, unless it is dropped or in some other way demolished.The Hand blown Chemex Series of coffee brewers is the original Chemex series that Chemex started with in the 1940s. All of the Chemex Hand blown series brewers are...
  • The beautiful hourglass carafe that distinguishes Chemex® Coffeemaker combined with the quality and elegant craftsmanship of Classic Version.
  • 15 oz. (Makes 1 to 3 five ounce cups).
  • Height: 8 1/4" Diameter: 3".
  • Chemex high quality heavy filter paper sold separately.
  • Uses Chemex filter FP-2.

This Drip Coffee Machines give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Classic vs. Hand blown
Chemex makes the classic series @ around $35 and the hand blown glass series which are quite a bit more $. Same carafe much higher quality glass.

2. quick, easy, makes great coffee
I'm really pleased with this coffee maker. It's attractive, simple, and doesn't take up space on my countertop. I'm a regular tea drinker so I already have an electric teapot which I use regularly. Chemex makes coffee just as quick and easy as brewing a cup of tea. And there's no nasty filter and pot to clean afterwards. Just remove and toss the paper filter and rinse the carafe out with water. Viola! The best tasting coffee I've had in years. Well worth the money.
