1. A really Cheap Looking Kitchenaid
I don't know if the rave reviews of this product are written by people who aren't familiar with the best that Kitchenaid used to offer or if they are simply ignorant of what makes a good blender, but this is not it. I was excited about this blender as it's a beautiful color and was willing to "upgrade" my trusty yellow Kitchenaid blender just to get the wonderful new color. As soon as I opened the box, I was hit was a wave of shock & disappointment. What has happened to Kitchenaid? It looked cheap, felt cheap, had a pathetic plastic pitcher and non-removable blades! I immediately took out my own Kitchenaid blender to compare the two -- NO comparison. The old one has a heavy, sturdy metal base for stability on the counter top and while blending more complex items. The pitcher on mine is heavy duty glass. Mine comes apart entirely for easy cleaning. Raspberry pink or no, the new one is going right back. Thank you Amazon for making me perfectly happy with what I've already got!
2. SUBSTANDARD COMPONENTS
We purchased the kitchenaid blender after reading many reviews about it, unfortunately I feel
the review were probably written by the manufacturer or a kitchenaid employee. The coupler on
the blender lasted the sum of 6 uses before the tips started breaking off. Very poor materials
for such a job that has to put up with high torque and speed. Our last blender was a wedding gift
46 years ago and the only reason we went with a new blender was that I could not purchase the rubber
gasket that sealed the glass container to the base(am going to make my own and send this back to Kitchenaid)
We probably own 5 or 6 other kitchenaid products that are still in use perhaps they made them with
higher quality materials and care 40 or more years ago because what they are selling now are worth
the time to even glance at them. It is really too bad that bottom line has taken over for quality
and pride of product.

Best Blender I have ever owned!!!!! Great for smoothies! Amazed by this prroduct
I purchcaseed this blender about two weeks ago and have used itt every morning for my green smoothies. I have also used it to blend hot soups and sauces. It works so wonbderfully. I was a little reluctant because of the price, but after readiing the reeviews I purchased and have been pleased. I do not feel like I have ever been so happy with a blender eve!
PROS: fast working, one piece (easy cleaning and does not leak with hot fluids), dishwasher safe. No annoying blender smell at all, blends frozen fruits and ice with ease!
CONS: soo far none!! that speaks volumes to me!
